The Paris Olympics 2024 are in full swing, and India is making its presence felt with strong performances across various disciplines. Day 5 of the Games promises to be another exciting day for Indian fans, with a packed schedule featuring some of the country's top athletes.
In badminton, the focus will be on PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen, who are both in the midst of their group stage matches. Sindhu will be facing Kristin Kuuba of Estonia, while Sen will take on Jonatan Christie of Indonesia. HS Prannoy will also be competing in his group stage match against Duc Phat Le of Vietnam.
The boxing ring will see Lovlina Borgohain and Nishant Dev make their Olympic debuts. Borgohain will be competing in the women's 75kg round of 16 against Sunniva Hofstad of Norway, while Dev will be facing Jose Gabriel Rodriguez Tenorio of Ecuador in the men's 71kg round of 16.
Archery will also feature Indian athletes, with Deepika Kumari and Tarundeep Rai both competing in the individual 1/32 elimination rounds. Kumari will be facing Reena Parnat of Estonia, while Rai will be going up against Tom Hall of Great Britain.
Anush Agarwalla will be representing India in equestrian, competing in the Dressage Individual Grand Prix Day 2. This will be his first Olympic appearance.
The Indian shooting team, which has already won two medals, will continue their campaign on Day 5 with Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar and Swapnil Kusale competing in the men's 50m rifle 3 Positions qualification, and Shreyasi Singh and Rajeshwari Kumari competing in the women's Trap qualification.
