Telugu actor Chandrakanth, known for his roles in daily soaps, has allegedly died by suicide at his residence in Telangana.
His death comes just days after the tragic car accident that claimed the life of his co-star and close friend, Pavithra Jayaram.
According to Chandrakanth's father, the actor had been deeply depressed since Jayaram's passing, and had been mourning her loss deeply, penning emotional tributes to her on social media.
In one of his last Instagram posts, Chandrakanth expressed his grief and pleaded for Jayaram to return.
He wrote, "Papa netho digina last pic raa (cry emojis) not able to digest to left me alone, okasari mama aniii piluveee plsss @pavithrajayaram_chandar. My Pavi is no more (cry and pray emojis) pls ra come back plsss.
(This is the last picture I took with you, I'm unable to digest you left me alone. Please call out for me once again. My Pavi is no more, please come back)."
The sudden and tragic deaths of both Chandrakanth and Jayaram have left the Telugu film industry in shock and mourning.
The circumstances surrounding Chandrakanth's suicide are still under investigation, but it is clear that he was deeply affected by the loss of his close friend and colleague.
