Modi Slams Pakistan, Calls for Strong Government in Haryana Rally
  • Modi criticizes Pakistan's aggression, now begging for help.
  • Strong leadership deters adversaries from challenging India.
  • Modi confident of BJP's performance in ongoing elections.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed an election rally in Ambala, Haryana, on Saturday, May 18, 2024, where he criticized Pakistan's aggression towards India and called for a strong government in the country.

Modi asserted that Pakistan had been troubling India for 70 years with bombs in its hands, but is now holding a begging bowl, referring to bailout packages from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He emphasized that a robust leadership makes adversaries think twice before challenging India.

Modi expressed confidence in his party's performance in the ongoing elections, with only 17 days remaining until the vote counting on June 4. He accused the Congress party of a history of deceit and corruption involving the armed forces, and highlighted his initiatives to make India's armed forces self-reliant.

The rally was attended by former Haryana chief minister and BJP's Lok Sabha poll candidate from Karnal, Manohar Lal Khattar, as well as the party's Ambala and Kurukshetra candidates, Banto Kataria and Naveen Jindal. Voting for the 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana will be held in the sixth phase of the seven-phase election on May 25.
