A reckless 17-year-old driver, Vedant Agarwal, caused a fatal accident in Pune's Kalyani Nagar on Sunday, resulting in the tragic loss of two lives. The incident unfolded at 3.15 am when Anish Awadiya and Ashwini Costa, returning home from a night out, were struck by Agarwal's speeding Porsche Taycan.

The impact of the collision was devastating, flinging the two victims into the air and causing them to land on another car, where they succumbed to their injuries. The Porsche, after colliding with the victims, crashed into the pavement, coming to an abrupt standstill.

Enraged locals apprehended the driver, delivering him into police custody after administering a beating. The Yerawada police station has charged Agarwal with various offenses, including rash driving, death by negligence, endangering human life, and causing grievous hurt, along with provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
