AAP Protest at BJP Headquarters: Security Beefed Up, Traffic Advisory Issued

AAP protest denied permission outside BJP headquarters. Security heightened, traffic advisory issued for DDU Marg. Kejriwal to march from DDU Marg despite lack of permission.

Delhi Police announced that no permission has been granted for the Aam Aadmi Party's planned protest outside the BJP headquarters on May 19th. As a result, AAP leaders and members will be prohibited from marching towards the BJP headquarters.

The protest is scheduled to take place in response to the arrest of Bibhav Kumar, an aide to Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, in connection with an alleged assault case against Swati Maliwal. Despite the lack of permission, Kejriwal and other party leaders plan to march from DDU Marg towards the BJP headquarters.

The Delhi Traffic Police have also issued a traffic advisory in anticipation of the protest, warning of heavy traffic on DDU Marg, IP Marg, Minto Road, and Vikas Marg. The advisory states that DDU Marg may be closed for traffic between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm, and advises commuters to avoid these roads and plan their journeys accordingly.
