The Indian Union Cabinet, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, recently made significant announcements impacting education and infrastructure. The most prominent decision involved the approval of 113 new schools across the nation, comprising 28 Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVs) and 85 Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs). This ambitious undertaking is directly aligned with the implementation of the New Education Policy (NEP), a comprehensive reform aimed at modernizing and improving the quality of education across India. Beyond the expansion of the educational infrastructure, the Cabinet also approved a significant transportation initiative: the construction of the 26.463-km Rithala-Kundli corridor, a part of Phase-IV of the Delhi Metro project. This Rs 6,230 crore project will feature 21 elevated stations and extend the existing Red Line from Shaheed Sthal (New Bus Adda) to Rithala, significantly enhancing connectivity between northwestern Delhi and neighboring Haryana. The completion of this metro line will greatly benefit residents of areas such as Narela, Bawana, and Rohini, providing them with improved access to employment, education, and healthcare facilities in other parts of Delhi and Haryana. Reduced travel time and enhanced connectivity will significantly improve the quality of life for people in these areas, ultimately leading to economic growth and social development.
