The accident occurred when the roof, bearing the weight of several people standing on it, gave way, sending those on top crashing down onto the crowd assembled below. The incident took place at the Mahavir Mela in the Isuapar area, where thousands had gathered to enjoy the festivities and a live music show.

In a separate incident, a makeshift tent collapsed during a religious procession in the Hishua area of Saran district, injuring at least 10 people. The incident occurred around 3 am on Wednesday when the procession was passing through the area. The tent, erected temporarily for the procession, gave way when some individuals attempted to climb onto it, causing minor injuries to those gathered underneath. Local police reported that all those injured were treated and discharged from the hospital, thankfully without any serious complications.
