In a move that will undoubtedly excite shoppers across India, e-commerce giants Flipkart and Amazon India have announced that their annual festive sales will commence on September 26, 2024. The announcement, made on Monday, September 16th, signals the start of a highly anticipated period of discounts and deals for consumers. Both platforms will offer a vast selection of products across various categories, catering to diverse needs and interests.

Flipkart has dubbed its sale 'The Big Billion Days (TBBD) 2024,' and it will be open to all customers starting September 27th. However, those who are subscribers to Flipkart Plus and VIP members will have the opportunity to access the sale a day earlier, beginning on September 26th. Flipkart has further emphasized its commitment to fast delivery, with over 2 lakh product categories available for same-day delivery in over 20 cities across India. To bolster its logistics network and ensure timely deliveries, Flipkart has taken the initiative to create over 1 lakh new jobs across its supply chain throughout the country.

Amazon India's sale, known as 'Amazon Great Indian Festival' (AGIF), will follow a similar format. The sale will kick off on September 27th for all customers, with Amazon Prime members granted early access starting on September 26th. Amazon has stated that over 14 lakh sellers will participate in the AGIF, offering crores of products to customers on Amazon.in. This indicates a significant investment by Amazon in its platform and a commitment to providing a vast array of options for shoppers.

Myntra, Flipkart's fashion and lifestyle e-commerce platform, will also be joining the festive sale frenzy. It will commence its annual sale on September 25th, with Myntra Insiders – members of its loyalty program – receiving exclusive early access to the 'Big Fashion Festival' for 24 hours. The sale will then be open to all customers from September 26th. Myntra has revealed an ambitious plan to offer approximately 3.4 million styles during the sale, marking a 47 per cent increase compared to its previous edition. The platform is clearly aiming to capitalize on the growing demand for fashion and lifestyle products during the festive season.
