The Ayush Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) has announced the counselling schedule for AYUSH NEET UG 2024, providing a crucial roadmap for aspiring candidates seeking admission to undergraduate AYUSH courses in India. The counselling process, commencing on August 28, 2024, will guide eligible candidates through a series of steps to secure their place in coveted medical programs.
The AACCC's announcement signifies a significant milestone for students who have successfully cleared the AYUSH NEET UG exam, the gateway to pursuing a career in Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, Homoeopathy, and other alternative medicine systems. The counselling process, divided into four distinct rounds, offers multiple opportunities for candidates to secure a seat in their preferred institutions.
The first round of counselling will kick off on August 28, 2024, with registrations remaining open until September 2. Candidates will be required to submit their choices for colleges and courses during this period. Seat allotment for Round 1 will be announced between September 3 and September 4, with the results published on September 5. Students who have been allotted a seat in Round 1 must report to their respective colleges between September 6 and September 11 to finalize their admission.
Subsequent rounds of counselling, including Round 2, Round 3, and a Stray Vacancy Round, follow a similar pattern, providing candidates with additional opportunities to secure a seat. Round 2 will be held from September 18 to October 3, with registrations open until September 23. Round 3 will take place from October 9 to October 22, with registrations open until October 14. The Stray Vacancy Round will occur after the completion of Round 3, focusing on filling any remaining vacant seats.
The AYUSH NEET UG counselling process, conducted by the AACCC, is crucial for providing a fair and transparent mechanism for allocating seats to deserving candidates. The counselling process ensures that the selection of students for various undergraduate AYUSH programs adheres to established merit-based criteria and promotes equitable access to medical education in India.
