In the fourth phase of India's Lok Sabha Elections, a significant 67.71% of eligible voters exercised their democratic right across 96 constituencies in 10 states and Union Territories.

West Bengal emerged as the state with the highest voter turnout at an impressive 75.91%, followed by Madhya Pradesh at 68.48%. States like Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh also recorded notable turnouts, showcasing the active participation of citizens in the electoral process.

However, Jammu and Kashmir and Maharashtra reported comparatively lower turnouts with 36.58% and 52.63% respectively, indicating areas where further efforts may be needed to encourage voter engagement.

Among the prominent political alliances, the NDA led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeks a third consecutive victory in this election, echoing the slogan 'abki baar 400 paar'. On the other hand, the INDIA bloc comprising parties like Congress, AAP, and TMC emphasizes economic issues, promising MSP for farmers and cash benefits for women in their manifesto.

The remaining phases of the Lok Sabha Election 2024 are scheduled as follows:

  • Phase 5: May 20
  • Phase 6: May 25
  • Phase 7: June 1

The counting of votes will take place on June 4.
